Action Alert: Hearing Likely in March
March is right around the corner, and it may be a busy month for our bill. The Senate version of the bill has been routed to the Senate Committee on Health, Health Insurance, Privacy, Property Tax Relief, and Revenue headed by John Erpenbach. There has been no formal announcement, but I anticipate that there will be a hearing on Senate Bill 27 in middle to the end of March. This means that we will need to be ready to come to testify! To prepare, think about why this bill is important to you and all children who are deaf or hard of hearing in our state. You will be notified once we know the exact date and time of the hearing. It is critical that legislators hear from as many people as possible telling them why they should vote FOR this bill. We gained a lot of support last year because we were so vocal. To get this bill passed we must continue our advocacy for this bill with passion!
